Condition: SEE DESCRIPTION
Scrap Aluminum Bleachers. Bleachers were damaged by tornado. Size is approximately 175' x 33' with 8' x 36' platform. Aluminum frame with aluminum planking (various weight and size). Bolts are various unknown material. Structure is currently anchored to existing concrete foundation. Successful bidder shall saw and cut the structure flush with the ground. Footings will be removed by Schools. Pick up location: Page Middle School, 5628 George Washington Memorial Highway, Gloucester, VA 23061. Point of Contact: Scott Shorland, GCPS Construction Manager, (804)693-6961 office, (804)815-1554 cell. Be advised that the successful bidder shall also be subject to pay 5% Virginia State Sales Tax and 6.5% Buyers Premium on the purchase of the surplus bleachers at the time of payment. Inspection of job site: Bidder is solely responsible to inspect the job site and is aware of the conditions under which the work must be accomplished. Claims, as a result of failure to inspect the job site, will not be considered by the Schools. Insurance: By submiting a bid, the bidder certifies that if awarded the contract, they will provide a certificate of insurance with the minimum coverage(s). - Workers Compensation - Statutory Requirements and Benefits - Comercial General Liability: $1,000,000 per occurance - Employers Liability: $100,000 with Gloucester County Public Schools listed as an additional insured. Work Site Damages: Any damages to existing utilities, equipment or finished surfaces resulting from the performance of this contract shall be repaired to the School's satisfaction at the Bidder's expense. Further, the Bidder acknowleges that it is their sole responsiblity to safeguard all worksite materials from loss, theft or vandalism during the performance of the Contract. Be advised, the successful bidder agrees to completly remove all parts of the structure within ten (10) calendar days from notice to proceed with the work. This paragraph succeeds any other reference to the amount of time for removal of the structure.
