Please see the attached as one lot for auction

Due to a question by a bidder about what is included in this auction, we have updated the items that ARE included in the auction and those items that ARE NOT included in this auction.  We have also attached two additional photos with items marked in green that are included in the auction (boxes and drill bits) in one photo and in the second photo, items marked in red are NOT included in this auction, such as lumber, i-beams, the skiff and items encircled in the lower left corner of the photo.  Also, the rope is NOT included in the auction.

The auction has been extended to close on Thursday, March 30th at 5:00 pm to allow additional time needed to place a bid or if needed to change or withdraw a bid that has already been submitted.

Scrap metal and broken lights on metal rods from Battleship Wisconsin at Nauticus.

Items will be sold as Scrap Metal strictly "As Is, Where Is."  The items are currently located at Nauticus/Battleship Wisconsin, One Waterside Drive, Norfolk, VA 23510.

If you have questions about the auction, please post your questions on the auction site by clicking on [View/Ask Questions] under the Questions section of the auction and type in your question(s).  Your questions will be forwarded by email to the Auction Contact, Stacey Connolly. The department that currently houses the item will need to answer the question so the email will be forwarded to the department for a response.  DO NOT CALL MS. CONNOLLY TO ASK YOUR QUESTION. QUESTIONS BY PHONE WILL NOT BE RESPONDED TO.  Questions and Responses need to be posted on the auction site so all bidders will have the same information about the items being auctioned.

After the winning bidder has paid for their item(s), the winning bidder will be sent an email (to the email address listed on their Public Surplus account), which contains the department contact person's name, email address and phone number so the winning bidder can call or email the department contact to make arrangements to pick up their item(s).

If the winning bidder would like to EMAIL Stacey Connolly at stacey.connolly@norfolk.gov, she will provide them with the department contact person's name, email address and phone number so the winning bidder can make arrangements with the department contact to pick up their items. Do Not call Ms. Connolly via phone for this information.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO PICK UP ITEM(S) BEFORE RECEIVING AN EMAIL WITH THE DEPARTMENT CONTACT'S INFORMATION.

Pick-up hours are by appointment only

Do not expect to pick up your item(s) on the same day that you make contact with the City of Norfolk representative.  We must have at least 24 hour notice from the date and time that we are contacted to allow arrangements to be made.

YOU MUST PICK UP ALL ITEMS IN THE LOT.  YOU CANNOT LEAVE ANY ITEMS AT THE PICK-UP LOCATION.

Once paid for, the item(s) MUST be picked up within 5 business days.  NO EXCEPTIONS!

The City of Norfolk does not prepare, package or ship any items.  It is the successful bidder's responsibility to pick up the items. Please bring sufficient help and moving equipment when picking up items as City staff is not available to assist with moving the items.

If you bid on an item, your bid is the same as a contract. DO NOT bid on an item unless you are serious about buying it and picking it up.

If you bid on an auction and are the highest bidder and do not pay for the auction or pick up your purchased items, you may be blocked from bidding on future auctions.
